Curious Creatives

a quiet invitation ~

Small Moments.
Lasting Change.

There's something remarkable about the way colouring slows a busy mind.

Curious Creatives is a collection of nature-inspired mindfulness colouring books built on decades of clinical and counselling insight. Each one pairs original artwork with therapeutic colouring activities and space to create your own — encouraging presence, self-awareness and the courage to see things differently.

Simple on the surface — a quiet practice that grows with you.

a gentle beginning

The Philosophy

For more than thirty years I have worked alongside people navigating life's challenges through Massage therapy, Holistic Counselling, Mind-Body Medicine, wellness education and multi-medium creativity.

Throughout that journey I discovered something beautifully simple.

Meaningful change rarely begins with dramatic moments.
It begins quietly.

A different thought.A deep breath.A few peaceful minutes.A moment of curiosity.

Curious Creatives grew from that understanding. Each book is designed as a quiet bridge between artistic expression and inner reflection.

By engaging the intuitive, visual functions of the right hemisphere of our brains, the simple act of colouring helps quiet analytical chatter and opens a softer doorway to our inner world. It creates a welcoming landscape for introspection, wondering and pondering — inviting us to reflect more deeply on our feelings and nurture our emotional intelligence.

Away from pressure or expectation, we can begin to imagine change, set gentle intentions and cultivate improved self-awareness. It is not about strict discipline; it is about finding harmony and designing a balanced lifestyle in alignment with gentle, natural growth.

They are not about perfection.
They are about creating space.

Space to slow down.

Space to breathe.

Space to think.

Space to reconnect with yourself.

Because the smallest moments often become the beginning of our greatest transformations.

More about Artful Communication

Through three engaging activities, you’ll practise active listening, explore the value of pausing to reflect before speaking, and discover how to balance empathy for others with respect for your own feelings and boundaries. Bring These Books to Your Community

These books were made to be shared — around a table, in a group room, on a day of rest. Alongside writing them, I teach and facilitate, so the quiet these pages invite can be offered well, and by you.

Pathway one

Learn to deliver the books

For facilitators, therapists, support workers, educators and group leaders. I walk you through how a colouring session actually runs — how to open and close a group, how to pair a page with a breathing or reflection prompt, how to adapt an activity for a room where people may be tired, unwell or grieving, and how to keep the space unhurried and safe.

You leave able to run the sessions yourself, with the books as a companion rather than a curriculum.

Pathway two

I bring it to your group

For teams, retreats, conferences and community programs. A facilitated colouring and reflection session, run end to end by me, with the artwork and prompts shaped around the room you're in and the reason you've gathered.

A single workshop, a rest day, or a gentle series your people can return to.

in her own words

A Personal Note

For many years I helped others reconnect with themselves through therapeutic practice, counselling and wellness education.

Then life invited me into a very different kind of learning.

During one of the most challenging seasons of my life, I found myself returning to something I hadn't done in almost twenty years.

I picked up my pencils.

Without expectation, without a plan, I simply began to draw. Those quiet moments of creativity slowly became moments of reflection, healing and rediscovery.

The illustrations grew into conversations.
The conversations became activities.
The activities became these books.

Curious Creatives is my invitation to you.

Not to be perfect.
Not to colour inside the lines.
Simply to slow down, breathe, become curious and allow creativity to gently guide you back to yourself.

I hope these books bring you moments of peace, inspiration and joy — wherever you may be on your own journey.

— Marnie
